I am Nancy Schumacher a newborn, child, maternity and family photographer. I am based in Thompson, ND for my studio and also service Grand Forks and the surrounding eastern North Dakota areas. While I love photographing in studio I also love using the beautiful backdrop of the natural outdoors.

It’s really where my love of photography started, and no matter how much things change, I always find myself coming back to it. There’s just something about getting those film scans back that I’ll never get tired of.

A little look back for Film Friday at @thekindredpath GATHER. Loved photographing @calliedotyphoto and her sweet family on film at the @lewiscatherinehouse. It was such a wonderful experience — beautiful families to photograph, so much inspiration, and time spent with an incredibly talented group of photographers. I came home wanting to shoot even more film. 🤍
Still thinking about the Blue Ridge Mountains and the beautiful families we met. 🤍

Minutes before a downpour of rain. We haven’t had rain in weeks, and of course the night we planned pictures with our whole family, it pours. 😂 We managed to get these in just before the rain. On a positive note, we really needed it. 🤍
