The BIO Girls 5K was recently ran in Thompson,ND ending the 2023 season.  It was truly an honor to be able to document this season ending 5k and celebrating their 5th Anniversary.  The girls and mentors have been preparing for the last 12 weeks and the day proved to be a perfect ending.  To all those who have ran a 5k and for all of you that haven’t, it is no small feat.  At times there may have been feelings of wanting to quit, but it was at those times that their mentors, team, friends and family were all cheering them on.    This amazing program gives so much more than most realize and the support and friendship was absolutely overwhelming along their route.  Every girl finished that race beaming with pride and self confidence and that says it all, proving that they could do hard things.  I highly encourage this program and was especially proud of having 3 of my granddaughters, my 2 daughters-in-law, one as the Site Director and one as a mentor.  Great work BIO Girls you rocked it!!

They all left the program challenged to:

Be a friend…Believe in yourself…And Know you are worth it!”
